Because solidarity is one of the major values in the Talan DNA, Talan Americas is very proud and enthusiastic to be a sponsor of a non-profit organization since 2015: A Leg To Stand On (ALTSO).
ALTSO provides free prosthetic limbs and corrective surgery to children in developing countries who have lost their limbs in traumatic accidents or suffer from congenital limb disabilities. Founded in 2002 by C.Mead Welles, CEO of hedge fund Octagon Asset Management, and Dr. Dinesh Patel, Chief of Arthroscopic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Clinical Professor at Harvard Medical School, ALTSO operates 11 programs in 9 countries throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America. Since its inception, ALTSO has provided treatment to more than 15,000 children.

Talan was thrilled to participate to the NY charity rock concert organized by ALTSO again this year! The event took place in October 2016 at Hard Rock Café in Manhattan.
The Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest-NYC is an annual charity event which unites over 1,400 leaders from the hedge fund and investment banking industries for a night of music performed by industry professionals to raise funds for ALTSO's medical programs. (http://www.altso.org/rocktoberfestnyc)
We also had the occasion to support and enjoy our favorite “Six Floors Under”, a great French band made up of 15 financial artists from Société Générale. From “Another Brick In The Wall” to “Hotel California”, Six Floors Under set fire to the ALTSO's 13th Annual Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest!
