My life as a consultant, my assignments at Talan and a major French commercial bank as FX Options pricing IT analyst

Can you present your career in a few lines?

I guess in a more general way, I am a trained financial mathematician that works closely with technology by trade. In a more particular way, I work as an IT consultant in the Global markets FX Options pricing team in a major French commercial bank.

What are the different projects you are working on at Talan?

I joined Talan close to two years ago and have contributed to my first project in a major French commercial bank ever since.
As of now I am involved in the FX Options pricing IT team to support the application that prices and books FX options in the bank at this bank. This consists in networking checks, risk and pnl investigations and conducting releases for the application that client and traders used within and outside the bank.
We work closely with many different teams including Citadel, Prime Brokers, and are the backbone of the fx options pricing core app behind Cortex FX which has been nominated as the best foreign exchange trading platform of 2022.

What 3 words would you use to introduce Talan?

  • Prospective
  • Innovation
  • Transforming.

What has been your most memorable moment at Talan UK?

I really can reconcile with saying that the best moment at Talan are the people. Being where I am and the way that I contribute ultimately comes down to people believing in what I can offer and giving me the right opportunity at the right time.

Who inspires you most in life? Why?

I have many inspirations, but mainly more generally the strive for progress, socially and technologically.
If I think of people in our modern history that inspire me, I think of Nelson Mandela in the field of sociology and activism or Milton Friedman in the field of economics, or Steve Wozniak in the realm of technology and computers.
